This day was a lazy day for recuperation. It was a well needed day to recoup, especially from all the activity the day before.
Even though this was planned, I did not expect to sleep until 7am. Nor did I plan on a two hour post coffee nap! I am serious when I say I can not remember the last time I took a nap of any significance.
After a lazy morning of coffee, naps, blogging, and working on photos, I finally got ready and went to lunch. At lunch, I was trying to decide how best to be at least somewhat productive with my day. I decided to go visit the Akaka Falls.
Akaka Falls is a well-renowned waterfall on the Big Island. The waterfall is 442’ high and it was pumpin’. With all the recent rain that had come in, the waterfall was full and amazing. Still, the bank of the waterfall face west and the early afternoon sun was not playing well in a photographer’s dream, so I made due.
After the visit there and taking a few shots, I just didn’t have the gas to do anything else. I went back to the AirBnB, sat on the porch, and worked more on the blog and photos before retiring early.
